English Sunday School
Goal of English Sunday School
To help Christians to dig into God's Word and to learn to apply it in our daily lives.
The Relationship of English Sunday School to ECC mission
The Sunday School offers many learning opportunities and helps each student
to grow in understanding God's Word. This is also a great place to learn
God's plan of salvation, to be discipled and to grow into maturity.
Structure of English Adult Sunday School to achieve ECC mission
Every Sunday, we start with 15 minutes of coffee time right after the
morning service. This offers great opportunity to receive and get to know
newcomers. Classes are designed to meet all levels of needs.
Starting with Welcome Class which helps to get acquainted with the newcomers and
introduce the gospel to them if they have not accepted the Lord. Discovery
Class is offered to those who want to find out more about the truth. First
Step Class is for those who plan to be baptized. Bible Expository classes
are offered in both Old and New Testaments. We offer many varieties in our
curriculum to meet the needs of our congregation. Current issues and
critical concerns are addressed to equip Christians to face today's world.
Summer sessions are mainly character and topical studies.
Meeting Schedule
Every Sunday at 10:35 am for 15 minutes coffee hour 11:00am to 12:00pm Sunday School classes.
Description of Special Projects
Every class is a special project. Dedicated teachers are responsible
for their own teaching resources and materials. All materials are required
to be turned in at the end of the session. These materials are archived in
our church library. This way, other fellowships or study groups may use
these as resource materials. Each class is taught by two teachers, either
a husband and wife team, or two ECC members. Since the teachers develop
their teaching curriculum, we want to be sure that they are accountable to the
ECC mission and more importantly, the principle and the Word of God. We
find co-teaching to be a great way to hold each other accountable and it
provides a great opportunity for discipleship as well as training new
teachers.
